SSK, Super Science Kids, is a NGO which provides opportunities for children to nurture their scientific thinking, artistic expressiveness, internationalism, and communication skill independently. We try to remind children of their natural talent and develop their creative ability.
2005.11 Started as a voluntary group
2009.2 SSK was approved as a Specified Non-Gvermental Organization (Non-Profit Organization)
by the Cabinet Office
SSK was established to halt the trend loosing interest of sciences among children in Japan and to spread education using ICT. Nowadays, globalization of the world has been progressing rapidly, and circumstances surrounding us have been changing. To respect diversities of culture and individual values and to gain the adaptability to changes are integral parts of life. It has become more difficult to develop human resources who can make success in the world by just memorization of knowledge such as in traditional education. Children currently need to acquire ability to think about problems to be solved and to act to solve them. SSK practices education to cultivate the power of creativity and innovation, and advocates the form of the 21st century education that fares in the global society.
